Throughout the majority of the film Rush Hour, agent James Carter (played by Chris Tucker) is in constant pursuit of Juntao but understandably assumes that Sang (Ken Leung) is Juntao. One of the most memorable comedic moments in Rush Hour is the ransom call between Carter and Sang. The identity crisis kerfuffle continues in Rush Hour 3 with him being Mi and I am Yu.

During the release of the movie and even many years after, the Sang hairstyle continues to solidify itself as culturally iconic. Anyone shaving their head and bleaching it, will have Sang references hurled toward them. Even Pharrell, Amber Rose or Tiger Woods couldn’t escape these remarks.

Behind the design: One way of celebrating the icon whom is Sang from Rush Hour, would be to merge this idea alongside another cultural icon of the 90’s: Dennis Rodman. In the depths of our memories, are images of Dennis Rodman post Detroit Pistons with incredibly wild hairstyles. Nike released a small series of Dennis Rodman t-shirts of the same design but offered with different hair colors. The tees in itself were iconic but to make the design about his hair color was well executed. Here are the vintage tee references:
